This should help with general terms:
Ferrule - Metal (or Ivory) sleeve fitted at end of wooden parts , to reduce chance of splitting
Ring Cap - Similar to ferrule but only on top of drones
Bag Cover - Decorative cover made of various materials (tartan or plain colours)
Slide - Area for tuning on drone , bass drone has two sliding sections , tenor has only one.
Tenor drone - There are two and they produce a steady constant tone, both tenors play the exact same note.
Projecting Mount - Decorative fitting traditionally made of ivory , but now made of plastic
Cords - Either made of wool or silk , they hold the drones in place
Blow pipe - Hollow wooden pipe that the air is blown through to fill the bag, small valve is used to stop air returning
Mouth piece -removable plastic tip of blowstick , can be easily replaced if worn
Stocks - Wooden tubes that are "tie into the bag" there are five in total
Pipe Chanter - The musical part of the bagpipe, it has 8 finger holes and requires a cane double reed
Bass Drone - Large drone that produces a single constant tone , like tenors it can be adjusted by altering length to vary pitch of note produced.
